On this Substance Abuse 411 I talk with Deborah Gough, Clinical Supervisor/Behavioral Health at Maplegrove Center which is part of the Henry Ford Health System in metro Detroit.

Deborah is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Masters in Counseling and Psychiatry. She’s worked in this area for 35 years and has spent the last 29 years at Maplegrove.

For more than 25 years, Henry Ford Maplegrove Center has been nationally recognized for excellence in addiction treatment for adults, adolescents and their families. Maplegrove has been named one of the top 100 centers for addiction care in the United States.

Located in West Bloomfield on a peaceful, wooded setting, the 50-bed residential center was opened in February 1981 with a dedication by former, First Lady Betty Ford. More than just bricks and mortar, Maplegrove is a place where people help people and where people learn to help themselves.

To date, more than 40,000 people have been treated at Maplegrove. Our caring, knowledgeable and experienced staff can assist patients take the first steps toward establishing recovery from addiction.
