Emily Feinstein PhotoThe 17th annual back-to-school survey conducted by the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University has some very chilling data that may shock parents and others into action.

Just the opening piece of date that almost 9 of 10 high school students say that some classmates are using drugs, drinking or smoking during the school day.

That is just the tip of the iceberg in the study.

Substance Abuse 411 gets an in-depth summation of the survey and what can be done to counteract the growing problem from Emily Feinstein. Feinstein is a Senior Policy Analyst at the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University.

Listen, learn and share.
